Brodeur possibly a UFA?

    Wow. It's bizarre to even contemplate Marty anywhere but Jersey but if he does hit the market I hope Burke throws a briefcase full of cash at him. It seems the talk is he wants a 2 year deal which fits the Leafs to a T IMO. Gives us a winning goalie and the time to figure out what we've got in Reimer/Scrivens. Chicago would be a better fit though, given they'd be a serious contender with Marty in goal.

    Guys, too many darn threads! Keep in the off-season thread.

    And Brodeur had a rather dubious season, but excellent playoffs. Overall, though, i think the guy is done for the regular season. He is fine during the playoffs, but at times it was just brutal watching him throughout the regular season.

    I think the guy will stay in NJ and is just doing this to get a better contract from the Devils in case they want to lowball him.

    Otherwise, i agree with Chicago. San Jose wouldn't surprise me either.
