    Hi Mick,

I don't know how or if you are following the Draft. I thought it was interesting that your Rangers picked J. T. Miller. His comparable according to TSN was Mason Raymond. I hope it's because of his skating ability rather than his having a broken back.

    Careful playing the Bruins.

    Burkey Got A Good 'un

    Hi Shakes,

Liked Burke's move up in the Draft to get Tyler Biggs. This kid is exactly what the Canucks needed - big, tough and a scrapper. Want to trade?

    LOL!

Your having to much fun with the summer off.

The papers reported earlier today/yesterday that Toronto was very interested in Biggs who was also a Leaf fan. Then reports came out that Toronto scouts thought that the draft rankings were not the same as there list with major differences and big swings and who they thought should be ranked higher. Baically Im trying to suggest that Toronto was hoping that someone might pick outside of the top listed players so that way Biggs would drop a couple of spots so he could naturally fall into the Leafs lap without having to trade up. Obviously Burke sensed something was up and that Biggs was going to be drafted and made the trade to get the kid he wanted.

What is not to like? I like big tough as nails players that can skate. Exactly my type of player.

Only caveat I do not like is that Toronto is becoming Team USA

There is a reason why Boston one the cup. The number of Canadians on the team was higher then Vancouvers! LOL!

Seriously USA hockey has made big strides and Burke definately has no problems going with US players like Biggs.

True but we have much better collection of ABBA CDs and our meatball recipes are second to none.

I was pleased to see that Gillis didn't get another Swede in the first round. He really took a step towards the dark side by getting another Dane. Of course there are still several rounds to go.

Personally, I don't think there's an issue. Isn't Toronto USA Light?

    Nice job in Toronto...

That kid is huge, the Leafs are very quietly building a very good and very physical back end...

    Take care...

I still love ABBA how can you not?

Nothing like those 1st round Danish delights.

Yeah but would they stand up to Marchand?

I met a fairy today that granted me one wish.

"I want to live forever," I said.

"Sorry" said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that!"

"Fine" I said, "I want to die after the Canucks or the Leafs win a Stanley Cup!"

"You crafty bastard," said the fairy.

Not happy with the pick. Obviously very early to tell, but it seems like a long-term guy who has a lot to learn about all-round NHL hockey.

At least it's not a wimpy team!

By the way, why is it that the Rangers draft 2nd rounders that i like and their first rounders always sound iffy (save Staal)? Unbelievable.
